We are pleased to host the first-ever Head-Royce Clean Energy Panel and Discussion on Friday, April 24. Nia Speaker of Color Series
Trevor Parham '01 and Marcus Byrd '11
At our Nia Speaker of Color Series event in February, Trevor and Marcus shared how Head-Royce wasn’t just a chapter in their journeys, it was the origin. The friendships, the mentors, the sense of purpose they carry into their careers and communities today? They trace it all back to these halls. Their conversation was a masterclass in paying it forward: on mentorship, using your platform to open doors, and showing up for others the way people once showed up for them.
Honors Geometry: Pythagorean Theorem
John Kawamura '07
At the invitation of Honors Geometry teacher Michael Wilt, John returned to campus to speak with four sections of his class to share how he discovered and published a new proof of the Pythagorean Theorem while he was a student at Head-Royce. As part of their Trigonometry unit in Honors Geometry, students will work on a music video project that focuses on the Pythagorean Theorem.
